Michelle is the principal of the firm where her practice is focused in the areas of business, real estate and ip. She is active in her community serving on a number of boards including SSM Healthcare of Wisconsin and Dean Health Plan, Inc. Michelle is involved within the American Bar Association. She previously served a three year term on the Board of Governors, and formerly serving as Chair of the Standing Committee on Bar Activities and Services. She currently serves as the ABA Wisconsin State Delegate to the House of Delegates. She is also a former President and Treasurer of the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Michelle received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Economics and her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She has over 25 years of experience in the real estate area and was elected to membership in the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. She has also been listed in both the Best Lawyers in America and Wisconsin Super Lawyers since 2006. In 2015, she was named Lawyer of the Year, Real Estate, by Best Lawyers in Wisconsin, based upon high peer recognition. Professional memberships include, the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Dane County Bar Association and the Wisconsin Association of African-American Lawyers.

Michelle is also a member of the American Bar Foundation Fellow. The fellows is an honorary organization of attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars who have been elected by their peers to become members of The Fellows. They have demonstrated outstanding achievements and dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession. The Fellows support the research work of the American Bar Foundation through their annual contributions and sponsor seminars and events of direct relevance to leaders of the legal profession.

Established in 1955, Membership in The Fellows is limited to less than one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Members are nominated by Fellows in their jurisdiction and elected by the Board of the American Bar Foundation.
