Firm Summary
I’ve had a wide array of experience practicing law over the past 27 years. I spent a decade as a civil defense litigator with a mid-size law firm. I spent another decade as in-house counsel to a privately-held commercial real estate developer. I spent 7 years as a partner in a small business transactional law firm and currently, am practicing solo, focusing on all aspects of business law, commercial real estate and ip. After 27 years of practice, I am associated with a carefully selected group of attorneys that have areas of focus my clients may need. As a solo practitioner, my clients have access to the benefits of these other specialists.
I’m available to my clients. It sounds basic, but I answer my phone and respond to emails. I encourage my clients to call before they take that leap. I’m a “big picture” practitioner. I help my clients create a strategy, negotiate and document agreements and catch and solve small problems before they become insurmountable hurdles. My clients’ success is my success. I want my clients to succeed and strive to help them to do so, every day.
We all know disputes arise in business. I’m an experienced negotiator. Resolution is clearly preferred to litigation. At times, despite best efforts used to resolve disputes, some matters end up in court. I am able to represent you in court, having mediated, arbitrated and tried many cases. I know how to protect your rights and can do so in a cost-effective manner.
All clients deserve great service and I work hard to provide great service. From making myself available in person, by phone, by email, on Skype and even face-to-face in your office, I will always accommodate you by providing exceptional service. Many services are provided on a flat fee basis with you knowing, up front, exactly what the cost will be. No surprise billing. I don’t want my clients to be afraid to call me for fear of receiving an indecipherable bill. I enjoy long-term relationships with my clients. I want my clients to call me to “run an idea past me” or to get my “gut” reaction to a situation. They want me to tell them if they are really on to something or about to step off that cliff.
