Bill is an attorney with over 24 years of legal experience in both the public and private sectors. He is experienced in a broad range of legal fields including federal, state, and local tax matters, criminal matters, litigation, administrative hearings, contract and business agreement drafting, and ip and probate. Bill has worked as a deputy district attorney, an assistant city attorney, and assistant attorney general. He teaches classes in professional ethics including business ethics, continuing education courses for attorneys, and has written and lectured on FERPA issues. His publication on student record privacy rights (ferpa) is used by university advisors, administrators, and faculty throughout the country.
Personal Background
Bill grew up in Colorado and attended Niwot High School, University of Colorado at Boulder, and the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law. Bill’s family raised Morgan Horses on their ranch outside of Longmont aptly named Longmeadow’s Farm. He is married to Beth and they have a beautiful daughter, Ana.
In the summer, Bill and his family enjoy the great outdoors with activities that include sailing their catamaran at Union Reservoir in Longmont, riding Beth’s Arabian horse, Beau, and taking trips to Taos, New Mexico. During the winter months, Bill and Ana ice skate at the Roosevelt Ice Pavilion in Longmont. Beth and Bill enjoy actively supporting Ana in her local 4-H activities throughout the year that include dog shows and horse shows.
