Originally from Weatherford, Carissa is a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU), where she received a B.B.A. in Finance in 2008. She went on to attend the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she was the recipient of a Top 20 Speaker award in the First Year Moot Court Competition and was named a Nathalie Pierrepont Comfort Scholar, a Thomas L. Hieronymus Memorial Fund scholar, an Oklahoma Bar Association Income Tax scholar and was an Assistant Note Editor of the Oklahoma Law Review.Carissa is past president of the Clinton Kiwanis Club, past president of the Custer County Bar Association, past chair of the Custer County Republican Party, an associate examiner for the Oklahoma Board of Bar Examiners, and a fellow of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation.Carissa and her husband, Garrett, are proud supporters of The Nature Conservancy. In their free time, you can find them attending SWOSU events and wrangling their two young daughters, Nellie and Margie.
